Hyein Ko is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Illinois. She received her Ph.D. BA in political science from the University of Iowa. Her current research interests include using text as data and images as data to better understand the politics of the pandemic, political protest, and the politics of media coverage.
